We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by God's grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that it is impossible for a sinner to remit his own sins, and that no person can clear his own guilt and that the only hope of sinners is the blood redemption of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we believe that salvation in no way comes about because of any work, of any sort, which man might do. Neither is salvation appropriated by a combination of faith and works. Salvation is appropriated exclusively by faith in Jesus Christ and Him only (Rom. 4:1-5; Titus 3:5; Rom. 3:20; Eph. 2:8-10; Rom. 11:6; 3:28; Acts 16:31; John 3:16, 3:36; 5:24; Rom. 5:1; 1 John 5:1; John 8:24).
